Switching from Collectr
Moving from Collectr? Bring your whole collection in 30 seconds.
Upload the CSV you export from Collectr exactly as it is. Tallgrass reads the set names, finishes, conditions, grades, quantities and what you paid, and shows you every row before anything is added.
CSV import is included in the free Trainer plan.
Three steps, no spreadsheet editing
Export from Collectr
In Collectr, export your collection as a CSV file (CSV export is part of Collectr Pro). Keep the file exactly as it comes out.
Upload it to Tallgrass
Open Import a collection and choose the file. We read Collectr's set names, finishes (Holofoil, Reverse Holofoil, 1st Edition), conditions, grades, quantities, prices paid and dates, and each portfolio becomes a Storage Box.
Check and you're done
Every row is shown with what it matched before anything is added. Rows we can't match are flagged so you can skip or fix them; the rest lands in your collection, priced.

Switching, answered
- Will my quantities, conditions and graded copies come across?
- Yes. Quantities, conditions (Near Mint to Damaged), grades written like “PSA 10”, “CGC 9.5” or “BGS 9.5”, prices paid and dates added are all read from the Collectr file; “Ungraded” copies stay raw. Each Collectr portfolio becomes a Storage Box. Prices without a currency are read as US dollars (CA$ amounts as Canadian dollars). Non-Pokémon rows are skipped, and any row we can't match to an English Pokémon card is flagged for you instead of guessed.
- Is it free?
- Yes. CSV import and export are part of the free Trainer plan, which also includes 50 card scans a month. Elite ($9.99/mo or $107.88/yr) and Master add full price history, market analytics and higher limits, but you don't need them to switch.
- Can I keep using both apps?
- Yes. Importing only reads your file; nothing changes in Collectr. Just note that importing the same Collectr file twice adds those cards twice, so after the first import, add new cards in Tallgrass or import a file with only the new ones.
- Why are some prices different from Collectr?
- Apps pull prices from different sources, at different times, and match printings differently. Tallgrass shows the TCGplayer market price of the exact printing (Normal, Holofoil, Reverse Holofoil…) with its source and date, and warns you when a price hasn't moved for weeks, which usually means no recent sales.
